Distinguished and Famous people from Gladstone
🏛️ Liz Cunningham
Liz Cunningham entered the Queensland parliament as the independent member for Gladstone in 1995, following service on Calliope Shire Council and a term as mayor. Her political career grew out of the district’s local government and community life. Beyond politics she developed another demanding skill: cake decorating, with an industry profile documenting her work in that field. It is an unexpectedly creative counterpart to council meetings and parliamentary debate. Her Gladstone connection rests on representing the area, together with the local service that preceded her election.
